VOYAH · Dongfeng's premium brand
Why itmatters.
The Free is the mid-size SUV from VOYAH, Dongfeng's premium electric brand, and it is already sold in Europe, the Gulf and Israel. It comes two ways: fully electric, or as a range extender, where a petrol engine charges the battery so a long trip never waits on a charger. The AWD versions have 360 kW, enough for 100 km/h in under five seconds.

Electric or range extender
The Electric carries a 106.7 kWh battery for 500 km (WLTP). The range extender pairs a 43 kWh battery with a 1.5 litre turbo petrol generator for up to 1,458 km in total (RWD, CLTC).

Sports-car pace
Two electric motors give the AWD versions 360 kW and 720 Nm. The Electric reaches 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and both top out at 200 km/h.

All-aluminium chassis
A lightweight all-aluminium chassis, with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension.

Adjustable air suspension
On the AWD range extender, air suspension gives 100 mm of height adjustment, useful on rough roads. The RWD version uses coil springs.

One-piece triple screen
A one-piece, liftable triple-screen display spans the dashboard.
